Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American producer stage and screen actor best recognized for her roles in films on the film Ray Undercover Brother and on the popular television series The Mentalist. She graduated with a BA degree in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actor and producer. She is involved on television and in theater. Her acting career started in the theatre. She then appeared in numerous television shows in independent films, mainstream and films. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's acclaimed series The Book of Negroes. In both these roles she won critical acclaim as well as a variety of nominations and prizes, including the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. Her debut on stage in the role of Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. Some stage credits include Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production by Joe Turner. Her film work she is most famous for the roles she played in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. She is also well-known for her role on ABC's crime show High Incident.
